Vision & Philosophy

We Train Head to Toe

Our philosophy integrates mental and physical conditioning with the fundamentals of tennis. We offer diverse programs for different levels of experience and skill. Our hands-on teaching approach will help you rapidly progress and unleash your natural ability.

Success can be defined in many ways. The longer you play sports, the more you understand this. Our positive approach builds character and self-confidence along with tennis skills. Learning tennis can become a model for self-actualization in the rest of your life.

Vanessa Pardo

Professional Tour

​

Vanessa is a former professional tour player who hails from Aix-en-Provence, France. Vanessa was selected at age 12 to train with the French Tennis Federation for the next 6 years.

 

In France, Vanessa was in the top 5 in the Juniors and participated in professional ITF and WTA tournaments with wins in the top #100. Vanessa represented a few clubs and won several National championships.

COLLEGIATE CAREER

​

Vanessa was selected for full scholarship at Virginia Tech (Division 1) to play #1 Singles and both #1 & 2 Doubles.

 

During her collegiate career Vanessa led her Virginia Tech team to win the Atlantic Championship for four consecutive years.

 

She was also the first women's tennis player in Atlantic 10 history to earn Most Outstanding Performer and Most Outstanding Rookie Performer honors in the same season (1996). 

 

She majored with a degree in Marketing & Business Management as well as International Business with a minor in Spanish.

Corporate World & Coaching

​

Due to an injury in college, Vanessa decided to put her degrees to good use and worked in the corporate world focusing on public and private sectors, from recruiting the right team to account management and business development. She received several awards for her achievement. 

 

The opportunity to have had a career in both as an elite athlete and in the corporate world has given Vanessa a greater understanding of how to relate to both environments from a work ethic, performance and leadership standpoint. Vanessa applies those concepts in our teaching philosophy giving her players the keys to be successful on and off the court.

Vanessa is a member of USPTR and International Tennis Performance Association.

  • ITPA Tennis Performance Trainer

  • USPTR 10 and Under 

  • Mental Toughness Coach, (Mental Strength Academy)

  • WTCA Certified

  • Billie Jean King Eye Coach. 

  • CPR & Concussion Certified

  • Certified with US Center for Safesports
